On Thursday, April 4 the Woodmore W.I. held their monthly meeting with 14 members in attendance. Our roll call for the day was "What robot would I like".

The meeting was followed with a craft session, we painted flower pots. Following our May meeting we will be having a speaker.

We have 7 new members that joined us in October, so in March we held a new member orientation session, to share information about W.I.

Woodmore W.I. will be hosting a Regional W.I. picnic this summer, with members from other branches in the area invited.

For our 2024 fundraising we will be selling raffle tickets and hosting a soup and pie supper.

Our knitting and crocheting group continues to make lap-blankets which will go to local PCH's in May, this group gets together monthly.  We also have a movie group and lunch group both which get together monthly.

Our Food Security program for 2024 has received a grant for the Sturgeon Community Foundation. On March 18 we hosted a Gardening workshop, with Dave Hanson as the speaker. We had a full house at Roseau River Park for the evening. On April 15 we will be hosting a sour dough workshop, with 2 local instructors. This will be held at the Dominion City Hall starting at 6:30 p.m.  We will also be hosting a seed saving workshop and a preserving workshop in the summer / fall.

Again, this year we will be hosting our Children's Gardening Project. Registration will start soon with the kick-off event following the May long weekend.

We will be hosting a Natures to Neighbors program sponsored by Southern Health's Health Together Now grant. Our first "wellness walk" will be on the Crow Wing Trail, to be held later in May, more information will be available soon.
